This project
was awarded through a Design-Build Competition
offered by the City of Palm Desert RDA.
The team of MMA and Simon Construction
won the competition and this is the
premier golf course facility in the
Desert at the time of its construction.
The project consists of two buildings.
One 11,620 sq. ft. mixed occupancy facility
containing maintenance / repair garage,
his and her locker areas, employee lounge,
warehouse and administration office
functions. The other facility is approximately
2600 sq. ft. and contains fertilizer
/ chemical storage uses.
The construction of the facility consist
of masonry block, steel frame and wood
construction. Numerous site amenities
where included from wash down facilities,
material storage and above ground fuel
dispensers. The Site Design of this
project separates public areas and plant
functions while maintaining logical
circulation patterns and security. This
interaction between Site Design and
Circulation / Use is identified as a
key element in the Design solution. |
