This 6000
sq.ft. Tuscan Mediterranean style residence
features a 3 car / 2 cart non street
facing Garage with Motor Court and circular
driveway on a relatively "tight"
lot. The existing parcel was rectangular
and considered an ordinary parcel with
a great view at first glance but flanked
by mountains returning to the desert
floor at the extreme edges of the view,
we decided to skew the floor plan layout
on the Site to maximize long and short
views, which alone transformed the parcel
from ordinary to extraordinary. The
residence has 4 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths
with concealed pocket doors which open
to the terrace area from the Living
and Master spaces creating a seamless
transition from indoors to outdoors.
An extensive palette of materials where
utilized throughout the project enhancing
the overall Design. The interior spaces
create an old world mission feeling
due to the slanted wall / vaulted ceiling
design and clerestory windows softly
illuminating the depth of the Living
spaces. The interior plaster finish
with subtle movement and desert tones
used in the Interior Design elements
add to the warmth and provide an overall
"cozy" feeling.
This highly detailed project was completed
in 12 months, thanks to the cooperative
efforts of the entire team (RAM Development,
General Contractor and Louise Lawrence,
Interior Design) |
